How to read a certificate

Every certificate is issued by the laboratory that ran the test and names the compound, the quantity on the label, the lot number and the laboratory's own report number. Match the lot number to the one on your vial first.

Chromatographic purity. The share of the sample that is the named peptide, measured by reverse-phase HPLC with UV detection and reported with its measurement uncertainty. Our release specification is greater than 98%.

Quantity. The measured amount of peptide in milligrams, by HPLC-UV, against the label claim.

Identity. Whether the peak matches a certified reference standard for the named compound.

Endotoxin. Bacterial endotoxin by kinetic LAL per USP <85>, reported in EU/mg next to the limit the lot had to meet.

Chromatogram. The HPLC trace itself, printed on the certificate so you can see the main peak and anything around it.

Extended screens. Where a lot was also tested for sterility (USP <71>), heavy metals (ICP-MS) or residual solvents (GC-MS, USP <467>), those results are published alongside the purity certificate.

Storage and handling

How should lyophilized vials be stored?

Sealed vials keep best cold and dark. Product pages carry the storage note specific to that compound; follow it rather than a general rule.

How long does material keep?

Storage guidance and the lot date are on each certificate. Our stability program is in progress, and results publish per lot when each study completes.

What about after reconstitution?

Sealed lyophilized vials are the stable form, and the storage note on each product page and certificate refers to that sealed state. We do not provide guidance beyond storage of the sealed product.

Who does your testing?

An independent third-party laboratory accredited to ISO 17025. We do not release a lot on in-house results alone.

Can I see a certificate before I buy?

Yes. The full COA library is public and needs no account. Search by product name or lot number.

How do I match a vial to its certificate?

The lot number is printed on the vial label. Enter it on our verify page or search the COA library and the exact certificate for that lot opens.

What is on the panel?

Purity, identity, quantity and bacterial endotoxin, with the full chromatogram printed on the certificate. Sterility, heavy metals and residual solvent screens are published for a lot whenever they are run. The full specification is on The Sunshine Standard page.

Do you publish per-vial results or just a batch average?

Each certificate reports the lot's measured result with its measurement uncertainty, alongside the chromatogram it came from. Publishing the spread across individual vials of a lot is part of our advanced testing program, and those results will be added per lot as studies complete.
